Quotes I Found Interesting:
Until It Is Carved In Stone
It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth-and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up-that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.
-Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
Simple Gifts: Embracing Simplicity
'Tis a gift to be simple,
'Tis the gift to be free,
'Tis a gift to come down
Where we ought to be
And when we find ourselves
In the place that's right
'Twill be in the valley
Of love and delight.

Rooster personality traitsLoyal and trustworthy, people born in the Year of the Rooster are sociable, very accomplished and usually very well-dressed.
Shrewd and daring, they are outspoken and even boastful by nature. Most annoyingly -
Roosters always think they are right ... and very often they are!

Sharp and analytical, Roosters are generally deep thinkers and it is a rare occasion when something gets by them. Though abundantly practical, Roosters are also big dreamers. They are courageous by nature and know how to get what they want. If thwarted in attaining a big ambition they can become moody and downcast. However, they usually recover from a loss quickly. Roosters are rarely still for any length of time and must always be busy doing something.

Shy and conservative at heart, Roosters are can be overly concerned with their appearance and often buy the most stylish of clothes. They love to entertain, and a party hosted by them is almost sure to be the most memorable and extravagant of any.

Roosters are noted for doing anything in their power to keep friends and loved ones happy, and are disappointed if they fail. For their sincere and straighforward care and concern, Roosters are usually much loved and respected by all who know them.

Successful in any field they may choose, Roosters usually do well as publicists, entertainers or restauranteurs.

Going To Church Together!

.....My friend and I are attending my church together for the first time this Sunday. He told me he wanted to get back in the habit, he calls it, and wants to go to church on a regular basis, but wasn't sure where he should go. I told him why not attend my church and I describe what kind of I church I attend. He told me that it sounded very interesting. I hope he continues to want to go after his first time experience there this Sunday. If he's not comfortable there we might have to find some place were both happy with. I do hope he enjoys this experience. :)

Children & Nature...

* "Children are born naturalists. They explore the world with all of their senses, experiment in the enviroment, and communicate their discoveries to those around them."

Self Defense!!

That's right, I took a self defense class over the last few days. In my class I found out that women are more of a target than guys to get attacked and raped! I took this class in Green Lake, at a Conference, through AmeriCorps. I was taught how to defend myself if I was ever attacked. Also for my lovely ladies out there, the number one place for a woman to get raped is in a elevator! If you ever come to a point where you are about to get on an elevator, and there is a guy on it, don't get on the elevator! Wait For The Next Available One! This is how my instructor was raped. She was kind enough to tell us for the first time in her life, to strangers about her story.
To complete the class, I had to break a small wooden board in half. I was nervous but was determined to break this board. It was my turn and I position myself correctly as was informed. I took my hand and practiced tapping the board with the palm side of my right hand. I asked, Are you ready? No she replied! Took my right hand and practice once more, palm to the piece of wood. Are you ready? I asked again. Yes. I took a deep breath, pulled my hand back and then forward with force, breaking the board in half. Applause from the over 150 people that stood there watching me. I was proud of myself. Goal Accomplished!
- A little tid-bit: Did you know that only takes 15lbs of pressure to bust, break, crush someone knee cap! I didn't, but now I do! Also did you know that if you don't tell your attacker to No! Stop!, that when it goes to court that he might end up not being charged for the crime! Nice Huh!
I am looking forward to finding a self defense class, that I can take to learn more on how to protect myself from what my friend would call them, Weird-dos!

Peace-Love-Happiness

Someone! :)

I won't go into great detail about this person. He's is such a sweet guy, and I have known him over 4 years. He's gone through some really tough times and, recently I have been helping him out, to overcome some of his problems. One night he told me, you give me so much confidence that I get that vibe from you, and I see myself opening up, because I see the confidence you have, and that makes me want to do things that I would never have done. He thanked me right there! I was grateful, but didn't pry about it. I told him I was really happy for him, and told him to keep going for what you want. I told him, that I had a Great Friend that really helped me and she told me to go for what you want. She helped me through some really stuff times, just by listening to me bitch about them. Now I am out there, going for things I would have never thought I could do!
Our friendship seems to be going further than just friends. Keeping each other on track if one of us is having a really bad day/time. I am not in any big rush for anything. Time will tell if it will work out. Right now were just enjoying each other's company and enjoying time together.

Peace! Love! Happiness!

I LOST A GREAT FRIEND TODAY!

Today I lost a good friend, that I work with. Today he said was his last day that I would be working with him. I am in charge of an area at my work, and whenever I had to clock out to sign back in to my other job he'd take over, and he was a great worker. We work as a team, helping each other out in times in need. There was never a boring moment through the day. He would always make me laugh, I'd laugh so hard I actually spit out some juice I was drinking one day all over him. SORRY! He'd always sing to me , but with the radio, he did have a good voice! But, when he told me that he was done, I did start to cry. I made a friend and today was the day, not prepare to say goodbye. But, I smiled and wave him goodbye after work, and wished him the best of luck to him in the future.

I was told that there will be someone else to replace him, but damn it, There is no one that will ever replace him!

Feeling Down :(

AMERICORPS!

I got into AmeriCorps on Sept 1st of this year! I joined because I am on a quest to find out who I really am, and what I can become. I remember what my friend told me while driving in her car, "You Got The Whole World By The Balls"
